Little Sprouts Learning Center

Little Sprouts Learning Center was threatened to close due to high insurance costs in 2016, but fundraising by community members such as Buegler helped ensure it would remain open.

Bright Horizons created the Sprouts Energy Learning Center specifically to serve children of Diamondback and Endeavor Energy Resources employees. Bright Horizons builds such centers for employers nationwide to aid staff retention efforts.

Preschool

Our preschool program offers a safe, engaging environment where children are nurtured and challenged to grow. We provide various learning opportunities and activities to build fine and gross motor skills and social/emotional, cognitive, and language development.

Teachers provide instruction through group activities, discussions, literature & stories, hands-on learning experiences, craft projects, music & movement lessons, and manipulative work. In our younger preschool classrooms, we utilize the Letter People curriculum, an enjoyable way for children to learn letters and sounds with songs and dances!

Children can explore their creativity and develop independence in a safe, well-organized, and clearly defined environment. Each toddler classroom is explicitly tailored for active little learners to provide sensory-rich experiences that form the basis of future learning experiences – including self-help skills training and potty training with older toddlers.

Parents/Guardians may visit our Center during operating hours without prior arrangement and are welcome to request a tour at any time during hours of operation. A copy of their child’s up-to-date immunization records or doctor’s statement that their child can physically participate in our childcare and educational programs must also be on file before participating in outdoor water/field trip activities.

Toddlers

Children in our toddler classrooms can explore and discover through activities designed to stimulate motor, sensory, social, and communication development. Toddlers need the opportunity to experience different things at their own developmental pace – we ensure this in our toddler classes!

Sprouts provide a daily routine that includes meals and snacks, diapering, napping, sleeping time on their crib or mat, and organic formula if required. Parents should supply a diaper bag containing extra clothing items.

Our multi-age classrooms allow for interactions among all ages within one class, giving older students a sense of independence while being nurtured by their younger classmates. Older students also benefit from peer modeling and teaching younger classmates – all students interact with materials in ways that meet their developmental needs best.

Brightwheel Early Education Centres staff members are fully trained in first aid, communicable disease recognition and prevention, child abuse recognition and prevention, and extensive child development training. In addition, each staff member is fingerprinted for security purposes and undergoes fingerprint-based training sessions to guarantee your child’s well-being is of top priority. Teachers communicate with parents via Brightwheel Parent Platform, which facilitates easy check-in/out and mobile updates throughout the day; additionally, our daily Toddler Report gives parents insight into what their child ate, when they slept, or how many activities were completed that day!

Adventure Summer Camp

Adventure Summer Camp provides children with an enriching summer camp experience filled with educational activities, creative exploration, and character-building. Each week is organized around a different theme.

Children at our preschool program can look forward to weekly field trips, daily activities, and themed week activities centered on each theme week. Each child is divided into groups according to their age and developmental needs, and our educational program offers learning centers, extensive group instruction, and one-on-one tutoring; we aim to foster intellectual development while simultaneously building social interactions as we prepare them for Kindergarten.

Sprouts Learning Center provides a nurturing and safe environment to foster the whole child. Their educators are committed to taking an integrative approach toward education and nurturing individual creativity within each child’s education plan. Their educators believe a solid pre-K and early childhood foundation is critical for future generations’ growth.

Parents can enroll their child for one week, month, or all summer at Sprouts Preschool Program in Washington County, Virginia. In addition, year-round enrollment options are also available. Register at this event on Saturday, July 21 at 10 am to find out more information! Meet Sprouts staff, enjoy center activities, and have snacks – your registration fee will go directly toward a month of preschool registration!

Before/After School Care

Teachers and children quickly formed bonds as extended members of their respective families, and Little Sprouts’ mission-driven focus on providing an outstanding educational experience continued to flourish. Little Sprouts was honored to participate in the Lowell Collaborative Preschool Academy (LCPA) project in 2015, an incredible honor that enabled it to showcase its expertise among Massachusetts school systems.

Little Sprouts has since expanded to serve multiple schools in Andover (1997 and 2004), Lawrence (2004), Methuen (2006), North Andover (2008) and Woburn (2009). Additionally, an innovative program known as Before and After School Care was initiated at each location to meet the needs of school-age families in each community served.

Parents needing additional hours of childcare have access to a flexible schedule and a range of classroom options, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-Kers. Each child will experience personalized learning based on his/her needs and interests.

Parents are invited to the center during our hours of operation at any time during class times to observe their child’s class and the process of the Center. Parents/Guardians must approve participation in any outdoor water activities or field trips that require parental approval, with photos, videos, and daily reports from Tadpoles as an online child management system providing them with updates on their children’s progress.
