Waikiki offers you all the amenities needed for a unique happy hour experience! Enjoy great drinks and food at reduced prices during happy hour with your friends while taking a relaxing walk along the Waikiki beachfront.

Here are our favorite places on Oahu for pau hana. From rooftop decks to beachside lounges, this list has you covered!

Eating House 1849

The Eating House 1849, situated on the third floor of International Market Place, is a seafood takeout restaurant featuring classic island cuisine and offering takeout. Their full bar provides cocktails and wine to complement their diverse menu of traditional island dishes; appetizers include Adobo Chicken Wings and Chard Tako Octopus, while for dessert, you can try their Chocolate Souffle or Vanilla Ice Cream offerings.

The dining room of this opulent restaurant features large windows and is elegantly decorated with wood furnishings with stone accents for an inviting ambiance. Our staff is courteous and attentive; happy hour service is exceptional, and they will gladly answer any queries about the menu that may arise.

Our restaurant serves more than sushi and seafood: steaks, burgers, fried rice, and other Asian-style dishes. The chef uses only fresh ingredients when creating his delicious cuisines; menu items change regularly to reflect seasonal ingredients. Furthermore, there are various seating options to meet any party size needs.

Roy Yamaguchi first became well known for popularizing Hawaiian fusion food decades ago, but Eating House 1849 offers him an opportunity to pay tribute to Hawaii’s rich culinary tradition. Drawing inspiration from Peter Fernandez, who, according to legend, established one of Hawaii’s first restaurants called Eating House back in the mid-1800s using locally available produce from farmers, ranchers, foragers, and fishermen, award-winning Chef Yamaguchi seamlessly marries plantation town flavoring with modern haute cuisine for an enjoyable dining experience.

Eating House 1849 offers a menu combining Hawaiian and Asian influences, using their relationships with local growers and producers to source quality ingredients. Chef Yamaguchi uses his farm-to-table approach to ensure every dish contains only premium ingredients before amplifying these fresh flavors through artistic plating techniques.

Hapa Burger at this restaurant features beef from the Big Island, Kulana wild boar, and Portuguese sausage topped with smoked gouda cheese and onions, three ways for an exquisite experience. Other popular menu items include Miso Black Cod, Seafood Paella with lobster, shrimp, scallops, and Macadamia Nut Crusted Local Fish dishes.

Morimoto Asia

Morimoto Asia in Waikiki offers delicious food and drinks to make any happy hour memorable, like its menu from Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s Japanese-inspired cuisine – small plates featuring items like yakisoba noodles, takoyaki or gyu cheese tacos for under $5! Pair that with Kirin frozen beer or Lychee spritz cocktails, and you have an ideal happy hour experience.

Morimoto Asia offers a contemporary dining space and impressive menu, boasting many options that might not usually be found at fast-food joints. We tried the meatball sliders, gyu tacos, and rock shrimp — all were delicious — along with their innovative take on the classic Korean dish bibimbap (rice, vegetables, and meats); Morimoto Asia added yellowtail (buri) fish as a unique twist – certainly making for one of our favorites dishes!

Morimoto Asia can be found in Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney) of Walt Disney World Resort and offers table service for lunch and dinner. Morimoto Asia participates in the Disney Dining Plan, costing guests one credit for lunch service and 2 for dinner service.

Iron Chef’s inventive menu of reinvented pan-Asian cuisine awaits guests at this breathtaking architectural award-winning location in The Landing section of Disney Springs.

Almost entirely covered by glass, this three-story restaurant provides breathtaking views of The Landing area. Recognizable from its exterior by large red vertical letters proclaiming its name, guests will find this restaurant directly opposite cupcake ATMs and Sprinkles bakery in the Lime Garage area at Disney Springs.

Once inside, guests are met by welcoming lighting, modern waterfall chandeliers, and an eye-catching photo wall. The first level offers an elegant dining area that looks onto a stunning bar; on the second floor sits a Shanghai-inspired lounge/sushi bar, and private rooms are available for event and party reservations.

Furthermore, their Mahina Family Feast featuring whole mochiko-fried local fish plus five sides returns.

The Hula Grill at Surfjack Hotel offers another ideal spot for enjoying delicious meals with panoramic views of Waikiki. Their friendly bartenders ensure an enjoyable dining experience, offering cocktails, beer, and wine from their extensive menu and exceptional cuisine that perfectly compliments a romantic date night out!

The Hideout at the Laylow offers another outstanding happy hour experience, though its prices may be more expensive than some of its counterparts on this list. There are still great drink and appetizer specials, with dishes like the Wagyu beef burger and Kalua pork egg roll on its extensive menu.
