Eating House 1849

The Eating House 1849, situated on the third floor of International Market Place, is a seafood takeout restaurant featuring classic island cuisine and offering takeout. Their full bar provides cocktails and wine to complement their diverse menu of traditional island dishes; appetizers include Adobo Chicken Wings and Chard Tako Octopus, while for dessert, you can try their Chocolate Souffle or Vanilla Ice Cream offerings.

Roy Yamaguchi first became well known for popularizing Hawaiian fusion food decades ago, but Eating House 1849 offers him an opportunity to pay tribute to Hawaii’s rich culinary tradition. Drawing inspiration from Peter Fernandez, who, according to legend, established one of Hawaii’s first restaurants called Eating House back in the mid-1800s using locally available produce from farmers, ranchers, foragers, and fishermen, award-winning Chef Yamaguchi seamlessly marries plantation town flavoring with modern haute cuisine for an enjoyable dining experience.

Eating House 1849 offers a menu combining Hawaiian and Asian influences, using their relationships with local growers and producers to source quality ingredients. Chef Yamaguchi uses his farm-to-table approach to ensure every dish contains only premium ingredients before amplifying these fresh flavors through artistic plating techniques.
